Mindful Colouring
Colouring has been a great tool for me in becoming more mindful. It enables me to get out of my head, quieten my thoughts and be more present and focused on what is in front of me. It has also been a great way for me to learn that not everything has to be perfect, that it’s ok to make mistakes and in some circumstances, what we may initially see as being mistakes could lead to the creation of something truly unique and beautiful.

Personally, I like to have some calming music playing in the background while I colour, but I understand for some people that may not be useful. As with all the resources and practices I’ve included throughout this website, it is about finding ways to try the practices in a way that works for you. Finding the right colouring book can be a fun experience, there are so many styles out there, but to get you started why not download some of the sheets from the selection I’ve created here.
