Who Am I - A Journey to Self Discovery

One thing that I hadn’t considered as part of my recovery from anorexia is who I would be without that Part of me.  Although I was 18 when I was first diagnosed with an anorexia I had been struggling with my body image since I was 13, so I never really had the opportunity to know “me” without an eating disorder.  Trying to figure out who I am, what I like, what is important to me and ultimately who I want to be felt overwhelming at times.  It was scary and I wasn’t sure how to figure out what it was I wanted versus what I thought other people might want.  This is why I have included this journal as a resource for you guys.  It is a set of 90 journal prompts to help you figure out who you might be without your eating disorder.

Although I’ve created it with the idea of it being completed over 90-days, how you choose to use it is completely up to you.  You might want to reflect on more than one prompt per day.  You may go through and choose some you want to use and skip others that don’t feel relevant to you.  There is no right or wrong way to use this.  It is purely a guide, a tool to help you navigate what can feel like a challenging, and sometimes unsettling, phase of recovery.

If you have any thoughts or ideas about what else might help in the Self Discovery Journey, please do get in touch with me.  I’m always happy to receive feedback and make my offerings as relevant as possible.
