An Introduction to The Chakra System
What Are The Chakras?
The chakra system refers to the energy centres we have in our bodies. There are seven major chakras, each in a specific location along your spine. These are:
Root Chakra – located at the bottom of the spine.
Sacral Chakra – located below the naval.
Solar Plexus Chakra – located below the diaphragm.
HeartChakra – located in the heart space.
Throat Chakra – Located in the throat.
3rd Eye Chakra – located between the eyebrows
Crown Chakra – Located on the top of the head.
How do I know if My Chakras are Unbalanced?
When the chakras are out of balance or blocked the symptoms we experience are often physical, mental and emotional, which means when we can identify where in our bodies we are experiencing symptoms we can work on bringing balance back into the affected chakra. Common signs that your chakras may be blocked or unbalanced include:
Chronic illness
Brain Fog
Emotional instability
Depression
Anxiety
Eating Disorder
Fatigue
Pain in specific areas of the body (related to the blocked chakra)
The first step in balancing the chakras is to identify which one is causing any symptoms you are experiencing. However, there are times when more than one chakra is affected because the others try to compensate for the blocked / unbalanced one. Once you have identified which chakra(s) need to be rebalanced some ways you can do this include using:
Affirmations
Mantras
Mudras
Yoga
Herbs
Essential Oils
Crystals
